11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
· Theoretical contribution:
- The thesis systematically analyzes the importance and the affecting factors of corporate restructuring policies.
- The thesis clarifies the context and the causes for the restructuring policies implemented in Chaebol by South Korean Goverment.
- The thesis contributes to pointing out the goals, contents of Chaebol’s restructuring policies – beside the contributing factors.
- The thesis analyzes and aims to reveal the role of South Korean Government in Chaebol’s restructuring process.
Through research results, the thesis concludes that: The Government intervention in corporate restructuring in general and in economic corporations in particular is essential. However, The Government should be responsible for a leading role - and the restructuring process must follow the market. This is a new discovery, contributes directly to enrich and deepen the theory of Government intervention in corporate restructuring process.
· Practical contribution:
Through the lessons and expriences learned from Chaebol restructuring policies implemented by South Korean Government, together with practical analysis on the restructuring process in Vietnamese state-owned companies and groups for the last several years, the thesis proposes several solutions to the Vietnamese Government and the private sector in order to contribute to enhance the restructuring process in Vietnam in the future.
12. Practical Applicability
The thesis proposes new approaches to Vietnamese state-owned companies and groups restructuring process. With these approaches, the process would be further enhanced.
13. Further researchdirections
Research and analyze on the contributing factors of restructuring process in Vietnamese state-owned companies in the context of global integration in Vietnam.
