According to Plan No.1 on January 2, 2020 of the Executive Committee of Communist Youth Union of UEB, VNU on implementing intended plan of Communist Youth Union - Union of Students for 2020-2021 school year of UEB, VNU; the Executive Committee initiated “Lovely warm winter - Lao Cai 2020” program with the specific parts as follows:
I. TARGETS & REQUIREMENTS
- Effectively launching “The Youth vigorously defend the nation” movement, “The Youth and Volunteerings” movement, as well as “Love for borders and islands” movement organized by Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
- Productively setting up youthful tasks to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the establishment of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (26/3/1931 - 26/3/2021).
- Promulgating and educating the national revolution and ethic lifestyle for members of Communist Youth Union and the youth of UEB, VNU through experiencing and learning activities.
- Enhancing creativity, patriotivity, volunteering among UEB students in sharing care and love with remote areas; promoting the traditional spirit of “The leaves protect tattered ones”.
- Contributing to spreading the reputation of UEB, VNU.
II. INTENDED GOALS
- Visiting and giving gifts to families under preferential treatment policy, families of revolution, underprivileged households; providing poor yet studious students with encouragement scholars.
- Visiting and giving gifts to kindergartens, primary and secondary schools together with border guards in Muong Khuong District, Lao Cai province.
III. CONTENT OF THE PROGRAM
1. Title:
- “Lovely warm winter” program at La Pan Tan Village. Muong Khuong District, Lao Cai Province.
2. Organizing Committee:
- Organizing committee: The Executive Committee of Communist Youth Union of UEB, VNU
- Implementing agency: Big Hugs Volunteers Club (BHVC)
3. Expected time: 01/11/2020 - 15/12/2020

UEB will support participants for the trip.
5. Implementing methods
Organizing campaigns between the Associated Organ of Vietnamese Students’ Association and Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Class as follows:
5.1. The campaign: “Scarves for love - Toys for children”
- Each HCM Communist Youth Union of the Class contributes at least 3 woollen scarves.
- Requirements:
+ Minimum length: 1.5m, minimum width: 15cm.
+ 2-layer scarves with name of school and class encouraged.
- Each Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Class is encouraged to donate 3 well-operated children’s toys such as teddy bear, lego, battery-operated motos and so on with an aim of founding the toy corner for kindergarten students.
5.2. The “Loving notebooks” campaign
- Every single member of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union as well as tertiary student needs to donate at least 1 notebook.
- Requirements:
+ Lined paper notebook: At least 48 pages
+ Plain notebook: At least 72 ruled pages
- With the purpose of establishing a children's bookshelf, UEB promotes students and staff of UEB to donate books to primary and secondary students in remote areas.
5.3. The “Going to school together” campaign
- The Executive Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of UEB encouraged each and every individual and collective to donate some following items, including: Vietnamese flag, socks, gloves, hats, blankets, curtains, clothes, books, etc.
- Requirements: All are usable.
6. Collective action for implementation
The Communist Youth Union and cell of staff together with the union initiate a campaign to call for immediate actions such as providing underprivileged families with fundamental items for their livings.
