Variants of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus are hitting the recovery of the global economy badly which is expected to occur quickly in 2022. However, the impacts of the variants of SARS-CoV-2 have the potential to undermine policy makers’ plans requiring them to prepare different scenarios forecasting the impacts.
Meanwhile, the economy of Vietnam is upholding
important, impressive results achieved in 2021 when the Government had issued
decisions timely to prevent the spread of the disease, to develop the economy,
and to ensure the social security. Those decisions have gradually
"untied" the economy. The production and business activities
therefore have been reopened in a new normal state, the circulation between
provinces and cities has been more open, and the economy has been recovered
gradually and gained growth in the last months of the year. However, in 2022,
the COVID-19 epidemic remains complicated, posing many management and
administration challenges for economic development and social security.
In such a context, with its new role and
position, the VNU Journal of Economics and Business under the VNU University of
Economics and Business continues to provide readers with in-depth original and review
articles authored by prestigious national and international researchers in
order to timely reflect the socio-economic realities of Vietnam and the world.
The published articles have focused on both basic and urgent issues of the
economy, contributing to increasing the academic value of the Journal as well
as making recommendations for application in the context of Vietnam.
In 2022, the VNU Journal of Economics and
Business is going to publish articles touching the following topics:
- The
world’s economic situation, impacts, and policy implications for
Vietnam
- Vietnam's
globalization and international economic integration
- The
Industry 4.0, digital transformation and its impact on Vietnam
- The
COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the Vietnamese economy and
businesses
- Restructuring
Vietnam's economy and renewing growth models
- Population
aging, urbanization, middle class, and climate change
- Business
administration, corporate governance, and entrepreneurship…
We encourage national and international scientists,
researchers, economists, and Ph.D. students to submit manuscripts to VNU
Journal Economic and Business. It is the authors and their active cooperation
that has strongly motivated the VNU Journal Economic and Business to develop
its identity and make outstanding contributions to the industry of economics,
becoming a quality, reputable peer-reviewed journal.
