I. GENERAL INFORMATION
Center for Socio-Economic Analysis and Databases (CSEAD), VNU
University of Economics and Business was established under Decision No. 3345/
QD-DHKT dated 12th December, 2018 of the UEB’s Rector.
The Center is a scientific and technological organization under
VNU University of Economics and Business, having its own seal and account.

III. FUNCTION AND TASKS
1. Function:
- Consulting, undertaking
research, analysis and forecasting activities in the field of economics and
society.
- Collecting, storing,
retrieving and processing socio-economic information, serving
single-disciplinary, multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary research.
- Organizing short-term
training course on research methods and information analysis tools.
- Consulting and
supporting lecturers and learners to improve research capacity and
international publication.
2. Tasks:
2.1 Consulting, undertaking research, analysis and forecasting activities in
the field of socio-economics:
- Undertaking training programs, projects,
research, analysis and forecast in the field of socio-economics;
- Consulting on socio-economics issues to improve
the capacity in analysis and forecasting of domestic and foreign individuals
and organizations;
- Participating in bidding and implementing
research projects and projects in the field of socio-economics;
- Seeking for funding resources to implement or
making joint research projects;
- Making use of databases to provide information
in the fields of socio-economics as ordered by organizations and individuals in
need;
- Exploit and organize the implementation and
transfer of applied research topics, advice to organizations and individuals in
need.
2.2 Collecting, storing,
retrieving and processing socio-economic information:
- Collecting, synthesizing and managing socio-economic
information databases;
- Retrieving and processing the socio-economic
information database for single-, multi- and inter-disciplinary research;
- Managing storage, updating and systematizing the
socio-economic information database.
2.3 Short-term training
- Developing, designing short-term training
programs on research methods and information analysis tools;
- Preparing teaching plans, managing the training
process to ensure quality and efficiency;
- Organizing short-term training on research
methods, qualitative and quantitative analysis tools.
2.4 Improving scientific
research capacity and international publication
- Consulting, assisting lecturers and individuals
in improving research capacity and international publication;
- Consulting, supporting and fostering research
capability of learners including students, graduate students and doctoral
students.
2.5 Other tasks
- Developing and submitting for approval the
strategy and development plan of the Center in accordance with the general
development orientation of the university;
- Coordinating with other units of the University
to undertake general duties of the university;
- Preparing the operational and personnel reports
every 6 months or upon required;
- Preparing annual financial report or upon
request;
- Managing effectively the human resources and
facilities;
- Performing other tasks as assigned by the Rector
in accordance with the Center's functions and missions.
