The representatives of the UEB and BIDV discuss on the working schedule
On 10th July 2014, a UEB delegation led by Vice Rector Dr. Nguyen Truc Le has paid a visit and work at Research Center of Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV).
Accompanied with Dr. Nguyen Truc Le were Dr. Nguyen Thi Vu Ha, Head of UEB’s Office of Research and Partnership Development and representatives of UEB’s research teams including Dr. Nguyen Quoc Viet, Dr. Le Trung Thanh, Dr. Tran Duc Hiep. Receiving the UEB’s delegation was Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thu - Deputy Director of BIDV’s Research Center and other researchers of macroeconomics, finance - banking and sectors of economy.
Earlier, the BIDV has approved and committed to grant three research projects of the UEB, namely building financial soundness report of the banking system of Vietnam” (proposed by the UEB’s Faculty of Finance - Banking), the structure and operation of the real estate market in several regional countries and developing countries and implications for Vietnam (proposed by the Faculty of Political Economics), adapting the growth model, enhancing the competitiveness of the economy (proposed by the Faculty of Development Economics). These studies outcomes will be handed over to the BIDV for the policy-making of the bank. The research program is the first step to concretize the cooperation activities committed between two parties in May 2013.
Concluded at the meeting, leaders of the UEB and BIDV’s Research Center agreed on the items of the program, participants in each research team as well as the schedule. On behalf of BIDV leaders, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thu thanked for the positive cooperation of the university, emphasized the significance of the research outcomes in applying in actual operation of BIDV. The BIDV committed to facilitate and support the teams during implementation and completion of the research projects by the end of 2014.
After the meeting, the research members of both parties have discussed together to reach a decision on the schedule, components and detailed outlines of each project.
