UEB’s lecturer to attend the short-course in Indonesia

Recently, Dr. Nguyen Cam Nhung - Associate Dean of Faculty of International Economics and Business, UEB was sent to join the short course in “Tax research and Illicit Financial Flows Training” in Bali, Indonesia from 12th December to 15th December 2018.

The short course on “Tax research and Illicit Financial Flows Training” held by Prakarsa, Oxfam Indonesia, Somo and Oxfam Novib and granted scholarships for 30 experts from universities and NGOs from Asian countries, including Japan, China, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia and Vietnam.

The course lasted for 4 days, aiming at enhancing research capacity for participants on tax policy and business tax. In 4 days, the attendants will be divided into groups to discuss and analyze the structure of corporate ownership and suspicious signs of tax fraud based on the data of multinational companies; analyzing tariff treaties and incentives, etc.

 

After days of hard working, the participants were granted the certificate of completion from the organizers.
