From November 29th to December 4th 2018, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi had a lecture about Vietnamese economics and global value chain for Waseda University’s students in Tokyo, Japan. Every month, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi had a foreign business trip to Japan, Korea, Germany, America, England, and countries in Southeast Asia. He traveled to these countries to participate in teaching, or attend conference or be a honor guest. In all trips, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi has always been proud to be a UEB’s lecturer and constantly promoted UEB’s image to foreign partners.

During this trip to Japan, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi presented and shared many interesting personal views which attracted attention from Waseda University’s professors and students. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi said that Japanese students enjoyed the study environment at UEB. That’s why every year Waseda University sent students to exchange at the UEB; and all student were impressed by the way of reception international expertise and environment at UEB.

As an international lecturer, teaching in English has been very familiar with Mr Khoi. Besides, Waseda University students are also fluent in English. Therefore, there seems to be no language restrictions between two sides. At the end of the program, many new ideas to connect students and professors of two parties have been made. Specifically, many exchange programs have been realized through the formation of international research topics.

During this trip in Japan, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi also worked with Prof. Chihiro Suematsu, Head of the postgraduate faculty of Management at Kyoto University in order to discuss about cooperation opportunities between Kyoto University and the UEB in 2019.

Sharing after the trip, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi said that he had many opportunities to go abroad. Therefore, the UEB’s students with competent English capacity will be offered the best conditions to participate in international research and learning environments.
