The meeting was held in the presence of Mr. Martin Ford, Program Manager of Master of International Supply Chain Management; Ms. Myrga Bruiins, Director of the Bachelor of International Business and Supply Chain Management program from Rotterdam Business School and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector and representatives of relevant units from the UEB.

At the beginning of the discussion, representatives provided an overview of each university, training programs, development orientation and scale so that partners could gather the strengths. After that, the two parties discussed specific contents and committed to deploy in the shortest period.

The two universities agreed to organize short-term programs, cultural exchange study tour for students, and consider developing a business research program with the model between University of Economics and Business and Sydney University. In terms of credit exchange program in 1 or 2 semesters, students are exempt from tuition fees and are considered for credit recognition after completing the course at the partner university.

In addition, RBS and UEB shared the same idea of ​​building an exchange model and accepting students for practical internships (1 semester) with supervisors in short essays/ reports after the internship period. Furthermore, it is considered to jointly apply for funding from the Erasmus Project to promote lecture/ student exchange programs.

Recognizing the success of the cross-border study between University of Economics and Business and some universities in the world, representatives of RBS also proposed to consider the form of 2 + 2 or 3 + 1, 3 + 1 + 1: The two universities exchanged training frameworks to sign transitional education contracts, thereby increasing the number of exchange students.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu indicated that the UEB had been in the process of promoting internationalization of education, so the university always prioritized the development of cooperation with top universities all over the world to strengthen student exchange program. UEB looked forward to the successful cooperation with RBS - the first partner in the Netherlands, which could create opportunities for students from two universities to study and explore the partner’s country.
