Leaders of the UEB welcomed the representatives of Benedictine University
Subsequent to the successful Information Day for the bilingual Master of Business Administration joint program with the Benedictine University taking place in April 2009, on 23rd June 2009, the University of Economics and Business - VNU had a working session with the representatives of the Benedictine University.

Attending the session was Prof. John F Carroll - Asian Manager, and Mr. Nguyen Phuong Hinh - Program Manager of Vietnam Institute from the Benedictine University. As for the University of Economics and Business - VNU, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Viet - Manager of Scientific Research & Cooperation and Development Department, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, MA - Deputy Director of Center for International Training & Education and the staffs of the UEB jointly welcome the representatives of Benedictine University.

During the session, the two sides discussed the issues, procedures related to the program in order to prepare for the first Opening Ceremony of a bilingual Master of Business Administration joint program that would be taken place on 26th June 2009 as scheduled. The two sides exchanged ideas to unify the teaching methods, the evaluating methods, the establishment of work groups, the textbooks for the program, and the password code supplied for the students to access the e-library of the Benedictine University.

Besides, the two sides also discussed the BenCares Project. Under this project, a donation of 1,000 USD will be made by the Vietnam Institute to the chosen community organization in the name of the graduating class and the Benedictine University. Each cohort will work as a team to develop a proposal for the BenCares Vietnam Project. Each team will submit a final paper to present your group project. The Benedictine University representatives will present the gifts to the chosen community organization after the graduation ceremony.

The project is aimed to foster spirit of leadership as well as to encourage the students, leaders of tomorrow, to recognize the need to be an active part of building a strong community responsibility as well as their own organization.

Ending the session, the representatives of the UEB and the Benedictine University had a look at the campus facilities which would be used for the program. The first course started on 24th June 2009.
