1. Attending GPAC2013 (Global Partnership of Asian Colleges):

Attending GPAC 2013 in Okinawa, Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh, representative for VNU-UEB acted as one of the member universities, and be in the board of examiners for presentation competition and "Talent show" .

At the seminar for representatives of GPAC Members chaired by Prof. Haruo Shimada (Chiba University of Commerce , Japan) and Prof. Min Sang Kee (Seoul National University), it was officially declared that GPAC2014 will be held in Vietnam with the number of participants is equivalent to that of 2013 (approximately 120 delegates from GPAC members) . Accordingly, the VNU-UEB will host GPAC2014 during 6-7 days as usual, beginning on August 25, 2014.

In the framework of the forum, Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh presided a session and made a presentation on the expected plan to organize GPAC2014, listen and record the suggestions of the members and consider them as useful documents for GPAC2014 in VNU-UEB .

On this occasion , Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh sent the greetings and souvenir of VNU-UEB's leader to Prof. Shimada , Prof. Min (two representatives GPAC founder), the leader of Meio University (Head of GPAC 2013 organizing committee) and a number of representatives of GPAC members. The representatives expressed the belief that VNU-UEB will successfully held GPAC in Hanoi.

2. Negotiations on the plan to hold international conference APCIM 2016 in Hanoi:

In Tokyo, Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh had a meeting with representatives of the Conference Board APCIM 2016 (including Prof. Sato, Prof.Horiuchi, Dr. Tan) to discuss the details for the conference in Hanoi in 2016. After the meeting, the Conference Board APCIM agreed on the plan, the formality, sponsorship... Details for call for paper and formal decision will be approved by the Board and notified to VNU-UEB as soon as the official decision is made at the APCIM conference later this year.

3 . Negotiations on the cooperation with Chiba University of Commerce:

During this visit , Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh has met and discussed with Prof. Hiromitsu Takemi, Chiba University of Commerce on co-operation between the two institutions in the near future. Dr. Dang Minh has sent VNU-UEB Rector's invitation to Prof.Takemi to attend and speak at Women's Empowerment Conference in next October and he has received the approval of Prof. Takemi .

4 . Negotiations with Prof. Takakuwa Soemon at Nagoya University about his visit and work in the VNU-UEB (from 69/ to 13/9/2013):

About the short course "Simulation Study", Prof. Takakuwa has provided documents (hard copy) of the course to Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh for printing and preparation of materials for students .

During his visit in Hanoi, Prof. Takakuwa will visit and meet with Vice Minister of Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (the two senior representatives attended the conference on "Sustainable Manufacturing and Environmental Management" in October, 2012 in Hanoi) and express the desire on the support of the two ministries on the participation of VNU-UEB as the representative of Vietnam in the Asian Core Program project.
