I. GENERAL INFORMATION
The Faculty of Finance and Banking, VNU
University of Economics and Business is characterized by the following
features:
- Training
programs are always updated and innovated to meet the demands of the society.
- The
faculty maintains close relationships with domestic banks, enterprises,
accounting - auditing companies and prestigious training partners over the
world.
- Finance
and Banking is the priority of the UEB and the VNU in order to enhance the
quality of human resource training.
- With
the advantages of a newly founded faculty, the Faculty of Finance and Banking is
able to select highly qualified experts for training and guiding students in
undertaking scientific research.
- The board of management and all staff of the
Faculty always try their best to promote the abovementioned strengths and
minimize the shortcomings to develop the Faculty in particular and UEB in
general.

III. FUNCTIONS AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Functions:
The
function of the Faculty of Finance and Banking is to organize and implement the
training, scientific research, consultancy and international cooperation
activities in finance and banking within the operational framework of VNU-UEB.
2. Responsibilities:
- Providing regular and
in-service undergraduate programs of high education in finance and banking.
- Providing postgraduate
programs in finance and banking.
- Providing short-term
training courses in finance, banking, and accounting - auditing: specialized in
banking title, banking management skills, financial management, business
accounting etc.
- Researching and
consulting about training, legal, market research, strategy planning,
macro-finance and micro-finance etc.
- Fostering the
international cooperation in training and scientific research in the area of
finance and banking, accounting - auditing.

Faculty of Finance and Banking has implemented joint training with banks,
domestic and international training centers to organize the short-term courses
in training banking credit, finance management, etc.
VI. SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH
Based
on the strengths of the faculty in combination with research orientation of the
University, the Faculty of Finance and Banking has formed key research group,
contributing to clarify the research orientation of the faculty. On this basis,
research activities are combined with advisory services for enterprises and
banks in order to maximize the resources of the faculty and the university. The

VII. COOPERATION AND
DEVELOPMENT
- The
objectives of international cooperation activities in the coming period of the
Faculty are:
- Building cooperative
relationships: actively expand cooperation with domestic and international
institutions and organizations; diversify cooperation models and multilateralize
partners, further promote international cooperation to support development of
training and research.
- Enhancing signing
agreement and implement cooperation with European universities, universities in
Canada, USA, and Australia etc. in term of training in Banking and Finance. In
the future, the diploma will be linked with international organizations in
order to improve training quality of all aspects, as well as maximize support
from international organizations and foreign agencies to develop training and research
activities of the Faculty and the University.
- Focusing on building and
development of high qualified staff in order to carry out mutually beneficial
cooperation in the context of international cooperation and multi
lateralization.
- Strengthening faculty
exchange (including sending and receiving faculties from partner universities),
therefore providing opportunities for faculties to access and immerge with high
technical levels of the region and the world.
- Fully exploiting the
international cooperation in order to expand the training forms of
"oversea study at home" for students and faculty members, effectively
cooperating with partners: DIV, MB, BIDV, Vndirect, PVI, AI Capital in training
and application research, expanding the partner network in order to attract
more experts and scientists to contribute to the training and research
activities of the faculty and the university, completing cooperation policies
to ensure sustainable development in the high quality - high tuition training
program.
