Celebrating 45 years of tradition, generations of teachers and students of UEB had the opportunity to meet again and reminiscing about old memories

This is an opportunity to reflect on the development process of the UEB, affirming the tradition of “when drinking water, think of its source” ​​of the University. This is also the opportunities for generations of staff, faculty, graduate students, and students of UEB to share beautiful memories and stories about UEB, strengthen the bond between colleagues, teachers and students, as well as feelings of attachment and pride with the university.

At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Rector of UEB reflected on the development of the University. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le sent the warmest greetings and best wishes to UEB’s lecturers. He said that the success of the university has been greatly contributed by generations of teachers and students, the Veteran Teacher Association, Alumni with a belief in the increasing development of UEB, asserting the University’s international reputation as a prestigious destination of world knowledge.

The generation of veteran teachers is an inseparable part of the University

Mr. Le Tu Minh - alumni of the 5th intake and President of IMG Group said: Despite having graduated 40 years, his feelings for the school and teachers have never changed. The University and his group has signed an agreement. In which, IMG awards annual scholarships named "Vietnam Talent Scholarship" for UEB’s excellent students. The scholarship will last for 10 years (2013-2023) with a total value of 1.5 billion.

Professor Alesky - Vice Rector of the Cracow University of Economics, Poland, was delighted to attend the ceremony. In addition, he also informed that, UEB and Cracow University have just reached some agreements on student and lecturer exchange in the coming school year.

Started out in 1974, the former Political Economics Department, University of Hanoi has experienced several transformations.

Over the course of 45 years, including 12 years of operation under Vietnam National University, Hanoi, UEB is known as a dynamic university with innovative vision, correct development orientation and is growing in the direction of quality and efficiency. The school has continuously developed and made contributions to the cause of education and training, to the socio-economic development of the country.

In the solemn and warm atmosphere of the ceremony, delegates had the opportunity to interact with representatives of the university's leaders and alumni, including:

1. Ms. Vu Thi Thu - principal lecturer, former teacher (period 1976-1999); former Vice Dean of Faculty of Political Economics, the University of Hanoi (1983 - 1993);

2. Mr. Le Tu Minh - Chairman of Board of Directors, General Director of IMG Investment Joint Stock Company, alumni of intake 5;

3. Mr. Le Duy Anh - General Director of Xuan Hoa Company, alumni

4. Ms. Pham Xuan Anh - Top valedictorian of QH-2019-E.

Also at the ceremony, the Alumni Association of UEB was established with 41 members, and Mr. Le Tu Minh as the Chairman.
