Attending at the conference were Board of Management, heads of UEB’s offices and planning officials.
At the conference, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Anh Tai, UEB Vice Rector presented the first semester report and the mission plan of 2012 - 2013 academic year (AY). The report assessed the performance of key tasks as well as the remains and the causes.
According to the report, most of the key tasks of 2012 - 2013 AY have been focused and given priority. Some of the key tasks have been completed on schedule, particularly in terms of Quality Assurance, Cooperation Development, Infrastructure, Communications, and Information Technology. However, the completion levels were still uneven, typically two leading fields namely Cooperation Development and Communications, estimated at about 80% of the whole year plan. As for other units’ performance, there were two units Faculty of Political Economics and Faculty of Finance and Banking had higher completed categories.
At the conference, delegates gathered to discuss the existing issues in implementing mission plans and the solution in the second semester of 2012-2013 AY.
To close the conference, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son emphasized: numbers in the report were just the initial results, many tasks are still in progress, but we can see the overall picture of the university’s operations through the report. There were still a lot of remaining tasks of the university from now to the end of the academic year, which requires a constant effort to complete the mission plan of the academic year. He also pointed out that the units deployed the key tasks of the second semester, in addition to the implementation of the transitional tasks of the first semester.
The closing conference on mission plan was one of the regular activities of VNU University of Economics and Business, in order to improve further the responsibilities of the unit to participate in the planning of the unit as well as of the university, contribute to the successful implementation of the proposed plan, and university’s development.
On this occasion, Rector of VNU-UEB congratulated Dr. Nham Phong Tuan, Faculty of Business Administration lecturer, who was appointed Deputy Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development.
