The
content of international articles by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen An Thinh includes
economic and development issues in regions in Vietnam. Based on the research
outcomes of these articles , policy makers can propose policies on sustainable
development, environmental protection, and climate change response were proposed
for specific regions of Vietnam: propose policies for sustainable economic
development and livelihoods adapting to climate change in the Northern
mountainous region; propose policies on disaster reduction and green growth in
the South of Central Coast; propose policies for agricultural development in
the Central Highlands.
When
asked about the motivation to "produce" such a large number of
international articles and publish them in Q1 and Q2 ranked journals of the ISI
system, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen An Thinh shared: "Scientific researches create my core values. With that realization,
although I am very busy with other academic tasks such as management, teaching,
family, and social work duties, I always dedicate a large proportion of my time
to professional exchange, scientific research, newspaper writing, and book
writing. To me, scientific research activities is a daily habit. Furthermore, I have always
been actively supported and cooperated by my experts, colleagues, and partners
during the researches. That is why I have been able to accomplish such a large
amount of work in the academic year 2020-2021".
According
to statistics from the Department of Scientific Research and Development
Cooperation, in the academic year 2020-2021, the VNU University of Economics
and Business have published 93 international articles, of which 75 are in
journals in the ISI and SCOPUS. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen An Thinh is the lecturer
who has the most articles published in the international journals of the VNU
University of Economics and Business in the academic year 2020-2021.
Assoc.Prof.Dr.
Nguyen An Thinh - Researcher and lecturer on Economics and Management of
Natural Resources and Environment. He is aslo the Dean of the Faculty of
Development Economics, VNU University of Economics and Business, and holds the
position of Vice President of the International Association of Landscape
Ecology in Vietnam (VN-IALE).
Assoc.Prof.Dr.
Nguyen An Thinh focuses on using the hybrid approach in analyzing, evaluating,
and proposing policies for sustainable development, climate change response,
and disaster reduction in regions in the territory of Vietnam.
He
has written 19 books published at domestic and overseas; published more than
100 domestic articles and more than 30 international articles for journals in
the list of ISI/SCOPUS; led and implemented more than 50 scientific research
projects at all levels.
He
is one of 26 outstanding scientists on international publication honored in the
2020 Annual Report of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. |
