On 5th February 2010, University of Economics and Business - VNU, the Vietnam Centre for Economic and Policy Research held the workshop on “Vietnam Economic and Policy Perspective in 2010”.
The workshop gathered top economists to share perspectives on Vietnam economic and policy in 2010 and to discuss about development model and macroeconomic tools to be used in the future.
Leading the workshop were Associate Prof. Dr. Tran Dinh Thien (President of Vietnam Institute of Economics) and Dr. Vo Tri Thanh (Vice President of Central Institute for Economic Management). Joining the discussion were Dr. Vu Dinh Anh (Vice Director of the Research Institute on Market and Pricing Science), Dr. Bui Quang Tuan (Vice President of Vietnam Institute of Economics), Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Son (Vice Director of University of Economics and Business, VNU), Dr. Vu Quoc Huy (Dean of Economics Development Department, UEB - VNU), Dr. To Trung Thanh (Faculty of Economics, Vietnam National Economics University), and many reporters and editors of press agencies and TV programmes.
Issues discussed in the workshop were development models for Vietnam, economic philosophy and room for macroeconomic tools at the current economic context of Vietnam.
