Final-round interview of “Vietnamese Talent Scholarship”

On 20th April 2015, the VNU University of Economics and Business (VNU-UEB) held a scholarship interview for the award “Vietnamese Talent Scholarship” funded by IMG JSC.
Vietnamese Talent Scholarship was awarded following the MOU between UEB and IMG JSC. period 2013 - 2023, which was signed in April 2013. The scholarship grant is aimed at supporting and encouraging talented students of the UEB. Scholarship recipients are outstanding students with excellent academic achievement and social activities.
The total value of the scholarship is 1 billion VND, divided for 10 years. Each year, 100 million will be awarded to 3 students. The first, second and third ranked ones receive the scholarships valued at 60, 30 and 10 million respectively. In 2014, Vietnamese Talent Scholarship first awarded to students of UEB.
This year, there were 50 application dossiers for Vietnam Talent Scholarship. After being qualified and tested of IQ, English and social knowledge, 12 candidates were chosen for interview with the Scholarship Council, including Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Anh Tai - Vice Rector of the UEB, Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development and representatives of IMG JSC.
In the interview, candidates were questioned about the purpose of applying for scholarship, experiences in social and extracurricular activities, life goals and so on. After the interview, more discuss within the Council is needed to decide the most outstanding students. Scholarship awards will be announced in the UEB’s website: http://ueb.vnu.edu
