Opportunities of studying in Sweden for UEB’s students

On 12th September, an information day of studying in Sweden was held at UEB. Attending the seminar, there were Mrs Anna Klara Linderborg - Chief of Uppsala University’s Representative Office in Vietnam, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - UEB’s Vice Rector, and lots of UEB’s students.

Previously, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, had some talk about cooperative activities between two parties with Mrs. Anna Klara Linderborg. Uppsala University and UEB have become strategic partnerships for many years with a lot of successfully cooperative activities, such as International Master program of Public Management, student exchange, lecturer exchange, etc.

In the upcoming time, the parties will continue to promote students exchange program, to expand the cooperation model with other Uppsala University’s members, such as Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Management; or to build the 2+2 or 3+1 transition training program. Currently, the general policy of two Universities is internationalization of education which attracts more students’ attention.

 

Later, Mrs Anna Klara Linderborg had a presentation about studying in Sweden. She introduced not only studying at Uppsala University, but also about Halmsta University and some other famous Universities in Sweden. Mrs Anna Klara Linderborg emphasized on the learning environment in Sweden which is the most interesting of students. According to Ms. Anna, studying in the Nordic countries, where are ranked as the world's leading standard and the home of many Nobel Prizes, is excellent.

 

Because of the great academic environment, the scholarships are also carefully selected, and students must have some hard criteria in addition of good English communication skills. Moreover, Ms. Anna also guided students how to apply scholarships, experiences in interviews and some Sweden’s culture, if student have opportunity to get to scholarships and study in Sweden.

 

At the end of the seminar, two alumni of Uppsala and Halmstad University - Vu Thi Xoan and Nguyen Ngoc Quan, shared their experiences when they studied abroad. They both agreed that studying in Sweden was both real challenge and opportunities for students.

Besides, students had chance to play quizzes on Sweden's culture and enjoythe Swedish traditional cake.
