Amid the outbreak of Covid-19, in order to support UEB’s students, the VNU-UEB has launched the campaign to raise donation to help 235 disadvantaged students, especially those who have to stay in dormitories to study online.
Due to the effects of the Covid-19 epidemic, most of the business and production activities in the country were affected. Understanding the difficulties that some students had to face, the UEB appealed for donation from lecturers, staff, alumni, students and learners. The donation amount reached VND 117,500,000, which would be given to 235 disadvantaged students.

Because shared wifi is a bit slow, many students have to use 3G during the semester but it is quite expensive. The support from the university has just come as a gift for many students.
Besides, UEB’s student also received incentive scholarships valued up to VND 2,824,400,000. 397 students had received the scholarship with the highest amount of VND 17,500,000 and the lowest is VND 4,500,000.

Assoc.Prof.PhD. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Office of Academic Affairs said, in the second semester of the 2019-2020 school year, the students mainly studied online. However, the university has strove to affirm the quality of training as well as evaluation and testing. As the end of the special semester amidst Covid-19 outbreak is coming to an end, the students will experience large assignments and essays instead of sitting in the exam room as a way of evaluating online studying, we hope to see the "scholarship rain" pouring in after the end of the school year.
