Opening ceremony of joint training program BSBA 14 with Troy University

On 22nd October 2015, VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) held the opening ceremony for the joint training program Bachelor of Business Administration intake 14 (BSBA 14) with Troy University (USA).


Attending the ceremony, from the UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Rector, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development, MA. Hoang Thi Bao Thoa - Deputy Director of the Centre for International Training and Education. From Troy University, there were Dr. Jack Hawkins - Chancellor, Dr. Earl Ingram - Senior Vice Chancellor; Mr. Luther Johnson Strange - Attorney General for the state of Alabama; Dr. Scott Bailey - Associate Dean for International Programs, Sorrell College of Business. The ceremony was also well attended by freshmen and families.


Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Rector of the UEB gave speech at the opening ceremony.


Speaking to freshmen of the program, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son said this new journey will bring them extraordinary benefits to enhance their expertise, management skills and help them to be well-equipped for the future. During their way, members of the program will receive unconditional support from the UEB, Troy University, lecturers, staff, classmates as well as their beloved. However, the most important way for the students to fulfill this program is their own passion, enthusiasm and hard-working.

At the ceremony, Dr.
Jack Hawkins said Troy University has enjoyed 11 years of partnership with the UEB and hoping that the partnership will further develop in the future. Speaking to the freshmen of the program, he emphasized the four elements forming the identity of the university, including: T - Tradition, R - Reputation, O - Opportunities and Y - You and sending the warmest welcome to all students and families.


Student Nguyen Thi Lien shared joy, excitement of the freshmen


On behalf of the freshmen, student Nguyen Thi Lien shared joy and excitement of the new students at their first step into student life. She sincerely believed that the learning environment at the UEB and Troy University will create solid foundation for their future career.
