Commencement convocation for MBA Benedictine - intake 7 & 8

On the morning of June 11th 2017, VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) in collaboration with Bennedictine University, United States held the commencement convocation for MBA Benedictine - intake 7 & 8 at the Hall of Nguy Nhu Kon Tum, No. 19 Le Thanh Tong, Hanoi.

Present at the ceremony, there were: Dr. Michael Brophy - President of Benedictine University, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector of the UEB and the graduates of MBA Benedictine - intake 7 & 8.

The ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere with the opening speech of Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu congratulating the graduates of MBA Benedictine - intake 7 & 8.
Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu said: "The graduation ceremony is called "Commencement". This word also means "Beginning". Thus, the graduation ceremony is not a destination but a departure for a new adventure. I believe this is a good and exciting start to all graduates."

Later, Dr. Michael Brophy gave the speech to congratulate the graduates. He said: “This is your starting point of many great accomplishments. Those accomplishments will depend absolutely on your vitality, your ability to persevere, and your ability to start over. It is crucial that you be vigilant against the attitude of complacency lest it subtly rob you of golden opportunities to aim high, to go big, in hopes of shattering the ceiling of your dreams.”

Since 2007, VNU University of Economics and Business and Benedictine University have successfully undertaken 16 MBA classes. The partnership between the two universities is expected to grow and success not only in the MBA training but also in other programs.

The most important part of the ceremony was awarding the degrees to graduates. The graduates took turns to receive the degrees and flowers from Dr. Michael Brophy and Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu.

On behalf of the graduates, learner Nguyen Minh Nguyet expressed gratitude to the professors and lecturers of the two universities: "On behalf of the learners, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the professors and lecturers of the UEB and Benedictine University. We will always cherish the instructions of the lecturers. Send the gratitude to our beloved family, who laid the foundations for our success today, constantly motivated and inspired us."
