From 28th September to 1st October 2018, nearly 100 learners of University of Colombo, Srilanka attended the short course on "Multinational companies and Business environment in Vietnam" organized by VNU University of Economics and Business.
"Multinational companies and Business environment in Vietnam" is a key topic research undertaken by the Faculty of International Business and Economics. MBA learners from Srilankan are eager to learn about the topic, especially in Vietnam.
On September 28th, the learners attended the lecture with Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi on overview of the Vietnamese economy as well as business environment with multinational companies. In the afternoon, the learners took a trip to visit the Temple of Literature - the first university in Vietnam.
On the following day, the learners visited the factories of Toyota and Honda Vietnam in Vinh Phuc, which gave them valuable view on operation of real businesses in Vietnam. The last day, they attended the class with Dr. Do Xuan Truong on an overview of the business environment in Vietnam from a financial perspectives.
At the end of the course, the learners were awarded certificates of completion. Speaking at the closing ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector of the UEB expressed her joy when the learners successfully completed the course, gained knowledge to apply in their businesses. She hoped that this would be an important bridge between the two universities as well as the two countries.
