UEB and ICEAW work together to improve the output standard of bachelor's degree in accounting
On October 31, 2019, VNU University of Economics and Business and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales signed an agreement to extend the CFAB subject to the training program in accounting.
Attending the ceremony, from ICEAW, there were Mrs. Sharon Spice - Admission Director of International ICAEW; Ms. Dang Thi Mai Trang - Chief Representative of ICEAW in Vietnam; Ms. Vu Le Huong - Head of Education Division. From UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector and leaders of Faculty of Accounting and Auditing.
Previously, the two sides signed the MOU in 2016. Accordingly, besides cooperation in academic activities and training of lecturers, ICAEW will collaborate with the University in developing honor program in accounting for students starting from the academic year 2017 – 2018. The program promised to open learning opportunities in advanced accounting with international education facilities and various chances of internship and study tour overseas. After 3 years of implementation, cooperation between the two sides has gain remarkable achievements with many students accepted to large corporations and international enterprises. Especially, the two sides agreed on 6 CFAB subjects to be integrated into accounting program. These subjects are highly career-oriented and CFAB are worldwide recognized. Graduates from Faculty of Accounting and Auditing have chances to receive CFAB certificates.
