Rankings 2021: UEB's contributions to VNU's brilliant achievements in world university rankings


The year 2021 is a year of great achievements for Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) in the world's leading prestigious rankings of educational institutions, in which VNU University of Economics and Business has made great contribution.

Let's take a look at the rankings that VNU has achieved in the past year!

Top 501 - 550 QS in the world in Business and Management Studies

As announced by QS World University Rankings, for the first time in Vietnam, the field of Business and Management Studies of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi is ranked 501 - 550 in the world. In the Official Letter of the VNU Institute of Education Quality Assurance sent on April 21, 2021, the VNU-UEB was recognized as a key unit, a pioneer, a leading institution, contributing up to 80% for the achievement of the VNU.

QS Ranking (built on 4 criteria, including: Academic Reputation); Reputation with Employers (Employer Reputation); Average rate of citations per article (Citations per article). paper); H-index measures the productivity and impact of scientific publications of academic staff.

 

VNU University of Economics and Business is proud to be recognized by VNU as the main contributor to this exceptional contribution, as well as making an important contribution to the top 801 - 1,000 ranking of the best universities in the world following the QS World University Rankings 2022.

 

VNU University of Economics and Business holds the No. 1 position at Vietnam National University, Hanoi

In the academic year 2020 - 2021, the UEB continues to maintain its leading position in Vietnam National University, Hanoi in all fields of emulation work. This is the second year in a row, the UEB holds the leading position, affirming the University's development strategy, realizing the vision of becoming a research-oriented university, ranked among the top universities in Asia.

 

VNU-UEB holds the No. 1 position in Vietnam National University, Hanoi for 2 consecutive years

Top 401- 600 in the world in Times Higher Education (THE)

On April 21, 2021, Times Higher Education (THE) announced the ranking of THE Impact Rankings. This is a pioneering ranking that uses the implementation of the United Nations' 17 sustainable development goals as a criterion to rank higher education institutions globally.

 

Being ranked for the first time in Times Higher Education's Impact Rankings in 2021, VNU has been highly appreciated for its development activities, especially in providing quality of educational services, contributing to the sustainable development goals, becoming one of the two leading educational institutions in Vietnam to participate in this ranking, and has demonstrated its influence and VNU's contribution to the development of society, human development and protection of the living environment.

Top 101 - 150 of the world's top universities in QS Top 50 Under 50 2021

QS Top 50 Under 50 is the ranking that uses the ranking criteria of the QS World table. These criteria include: (1) Scholar's assessment; (2) Employer's assessment; (3) Number of scientific citations/lecturers; (4) Faculty/student ratio; (5) Ratio of international faculty; (6) Percentage of international students. These ranking criteria emphasize the contribution and impact of the university's training and research quality to society (through assessment by businesses, domestic and foreign scholars).

 

As a leading educational institution in Vietnam, in recent years, VNU has had many new policies to promote innovative activities in teaching and research and innovation; participate in many major national science and technology tasks and expand cooperation with many prestigious universities in the world. VNU's academic reputation and training quality have been recognized by many Asian and world ranking organizations and ranked 101 - 150 of the world's top universities in the QS Top 50 Under 50 2021.

Top 251 - 300 best young universities in the world in the Times Higher Education Ranking 2021 Asia

On June 23, Times Higher Education - THE Magazine announced the World's Best Young University Rankings - Young University Rankings 2021, VNU at 251-300 position.

 

With the strategy of constantly improving the quality of training and scientific research, towards the philosophy of sustainable development, VNU has always made positive changes in improving its influence and ranking position. In the first time participating in the ranking at Young University Rankings 2021, VNU got the highest rating in the Teaching (learning environment) criteria.

Top 147 Asia's leading higher education institutions in the QS Asia Ranking 2022

On November 2, 2021, Quacquarelli Symonds - UK (QS AUR) announced the results of the Asian University Rankings, in which, VNU ranked 147th in the top higher education institutions in Asia. This ranking is collected from the responses of more than 130,000 academics and 75,000 employers worldwide along with an analysis of results collected from approximately 96 million citations (between 2015-2020) from 14,7 million scientific publications (in the period 2015 - 2019) after removing self-citations.

With this ranking result, VNU continues to improve its international position and academic prestige as it has for the second consecutive year in the top 100 for Academic Reputation (ranked 98th in QS AUR 2022 – up 1 place). 

Top 938 of the best global higher education institutions according to the American Magazine U.S. News & World Report

Continuing to receive good news at the end of this 2021, VNU has been recognized by US News & World Report as the Best Global Universities at position 938, up 11 places compared to the previous year's ranking. Congratulations on the achievements of Vietnam National University, Hanoi in 2021, and the VNU University of Economics and Business is proud to be the number one member of VNU.
