Purposes:

  • Analyzing the cultural role on economic development of Japan

  • Indicating the practical policy implications for Vietnam on how to build up the modern and traditional culture as well as applying this to the economic development of Vietnam in the context of international integration.

  • Strengthening the cultural exchange between Vietnam and Japan.

Main contents:

The research focused on:

  • Japanese culture is one of the most important factors creating the mirage of Japan economy, especially the unique of cultural characteristics of Japan.

  • Impacts of culture characteristics of Japan on both micro and macro aspects of Japan economy.

  • Characteristics of Vietnamese culture and the opinions of the Communist Party on building and developing the Vietnamese culture.

  • Four policy implications on building the Vietnamese culture of modern and tradition, take advantages the cultural factors for developing the economy in the context of integration.

The research topic is necessary for both Japan and Vietnam.

Results obtained:

  • Being the useful reference for both graduates and undergraduates with majors in international economics and international studies.

  • Promoting the culture exchange between Vietnam and Japan as strategic partners.

  • Being issued on Asia-Pacific Economy Review No 223, July 08, 2008 under the result of this research.
