On 21st March 2016, the delegation of Uppsala University leaded by Prof. Leif Kirsebom - Advisor to the Vice Rector had a working visit with leaders of the VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB).
Working with the delegation of Uppsala University, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son – Rector, Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development, MA. Hoang Thi Bao Thoa - Deputy Director of the Center for International Training and Education. At the meeting, on behalf of the UEB, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son sent a warm greeting to the delegation of Uppsala University for visiting the UEB.
The two universities set up the cooperative relations since 2009. So far, the two sides have jointly held seven master courses on Public Management with more than 200 graduates. The program has also improved research and teaching capacity of lecturers of the UEB by means of transferring advanced training methodology from Uppsala University. In 2011, six lecturers of the UEB were sent to the Sweden under the program "Train of trainer" of the University of Uppsala.

During the meeting, representatives of the two universities expressed satisfaction with achievement of the cooperation being implemented and affirmed to elevate the partnership in the coming period, particularly in opening the joint training program in Public Management. In addition, ideas on cooperation in joint research and conferences were also discussed by representatives of both sides.

Ending the meeting, on behalf of Uppsala University delegation, Professor. Leif Kirsebom thanked the UEB for the warm welcome. He also confirmed that the Uppsala University always respects and appreciats the cooperation with the UEB. The two sides will continue to exchange information for an early implementation of cooperation plan in the coming period.
