On 4th January 2019, leaders of VNU University of Economics and Business had a meeting with 2 representatives from Michael F. Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma to discuss student exchange.
Attending the meeting, from Michael F. Price College of Business, there were Mr. Daniel W.Pullin - Dean of Business Department and Dr. Margaret Shaffer - Deputy head of International Partnership Office; from the UEB, there were MA. Nguyen Duc Lam - Deputy head of Office of Research and Partnership Development, Dr. Ho Chi Dung - Lecturer of School of Business Administration, MA. Ho Thi Hai Ha - Lecturer of Faculty of Accounting and Auditing.
University of Oklahoma is a public university founded in 1890. The University is located in Norman City with the campus of 17 square kilometers. The number of undergraduate students is over 22 thousands. More than 25% of students joining over 40 youth and student unions and 300 student clubs. In the campus, there is a national meteorological station where students in any discipline can apply for internship every summer.
During the visit and working in Vietnam, the representatives from Michael F. Price College of Business wanted to learn and expand the partnership in Vietnam, including VNU University of Economics and Business.
At the meeting, the two universities discussed the student exchange (under the framework of Oklahoma training program, undergraduate and graduate students are required to participate in international internship); short-term training programs and study tour for MBA students at the UEB.
The two universities reached a consensus on the proposal and deployment of joint training programs with degrees awarded by both universities. The details will be discussed in the MOU to be signed in the near future.
