Attending to the ceremony were Ms. Lucia Real-Martin, Director of ACCA Asia Pacific; Prof. Nguyen Hong Son - UEB Vice Rector and representatives of the university.

At the ceremony, Prof. Nguyen Hong Son has warmly welcomed Ms. Lucia Real-Martin to the university. After his introduction about University of Economics and Business - VNU, Prof. Nguyen Hong Son highly evaluated activities of ACCA, especially he emphasized the cooperation of the two sides will bring more opportunities to UEB students in study and practice.

Ms. Lucia Real-Martin also sent her sincere gratitude to UEB Vice Rector’s warm greetings. She highly appreciated the cooperation of UEB with other prestigious universities and major international organizations. Ms. Real-Martin shared information about ACCA in the world and affirmed their willingness to cooperate with the University of Economics and Business in training of certified accountants.

After exchanging information, Ms. Real-Martin and Prof. Nguyen Hong Son, on behalf of two sides, have signed the MOU between ACCA and UEB. Accordingly, the memorandum will recognize the value of global opportunities for students in terms of education. Besides the image popularization for each other, two sides are planned to support students toward their career path, update the collaboration between the ACCA and UEB to the students about the accounting profession and career opportunities available to accountants.

ACCA and UEB have agreed on further cooperation; widening cooperative areas in the future. Two sides also committed to maintain long-term and constructive cooperation based on regulated articles. Scope of cooperation includes the collaboration of the two sides in exchanging information, providing documents, research, organizing workshop and other sponsoring agreements.
