On 3rd April 2012, Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Hong Son, Rector of VNU University of Economics and Business held a meeting with Mr. Horsewood who is the Head of
Department of Economics and a senior lecturer from the University of Birmingham.
Present at the reception were Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh, Head - Office of Research and Partnership Development, Dr. Quach Manh Hao – Dean and Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu, Vice Dean - Faculty of Finance and Banking.
This is the first time the two universities have met. For VNU University of Economics and Business, the meeting also marked a significant progress that it has achieved in setting up collaboration with long history and world class universities in the United Kingdom.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed faculty and student exchanges, economics academic programs development, and especially the development of a joint academic program on finance and banking at bachelor level (2+2) and master level (1+1). The leaders of VNU University of Economics and Business and the University of Birmingham agreed to build long term collaboration programs between the two universities.
