VNU Journal of Economics and Business and its internationalization orientation

From the year 2008 to April 2021, the VNU Journal of Science: Economics and Business achieved remarkable results, creating a premise for VNU Journal of Economics and Business to meet the international standards and practices of a scientific journal. Particularly, the Journal had an OJS website, had DOI numbers, was integrated into Google Scholar and V-CitationGate websites and had manuscripts that had undergone blinded peer reviews. The Journal ensured the punctuality of published papers, and followed the layout requirements and editorial procedures of the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI).

In its new phase, the VNU Journal of Economic and Business continues to improve the quality of its content and format, perfect its editorial procedures, and manage an online publishing system. Especially, with its international editorial board including 30 members who are prestigious scholars from universities, research institutes, or government consulting agencies at home and abroad (such as the US, Canada, Japan, Australia, Poland, Slovakia, Singapore...), the Journal hopes to upgrade itself to international standards. With an overall strategy and a well-designed roadmap for development, the Journal aims at satisfying the strict review standards of the ACI to be indexed in its system at an early time. The Journal is also oriented to be indexed into the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), a prestigious international scientific database, and is gradually approaching ISI, Scopus in its later development stages.

Therefore, the Journal closely follows its aims and scope with the orientation of internationalizing scientific products associated with economic research, the scientific market, and technology. For the country, the Journal provides policy recommendations to the Government, localities, and businesses associated with the development to modernize the economy in the current digital transformation. The digital economy is one of the key research objectives of the Journal, orienting research as well as applying policies to have scientific and digital products. In the international sphere, inheriting the quintessence as well as scientific products of mankind is the shortest way to approach internationalization. The editorial board members from universities and research institutes in different countries are the bridge for domestic scientists as well as for the Journal to achieve the goal of internationalization as quickly as possible.

Working for the Journal are experienced staff members who have high qualifications and meet international standards in editing. The staff serves as a bridge between readers and scientists, and among scientists to realize the shared goal of the Journal. Professionalism, science, and internationalization are the daily actions of the Journal. With modern communication tools, the Journal is increasingly expanding the range of readers as well as attracting many scientists to submit their manuscripts for publication.

The VNU Journal of Economics and Business is not only a prestigious academic forum for researchers but also an environment for graduate and undergraduate students to demonstrate their research abilities. With the seriousness in its scientific publication and clear orientation toward internationalization, the Journal keeps making efforts to affirm the position of the VNU University of Economics and Business and make active contributions to the ranking of the VNU.
