Attending the ceremony, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Kim Son - President of VNU, vice presidents, senior experts, leaders of departments and offices, Institute for Education Quality Assurance, Center for Education Accreditation and member units. There were also representatives of the Department of Education Testing and Accreditation - Ministry of Education and Training and Center for Education Accreditation - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.

Among members of the VNU, three universities first accomplished the external assessment and received the certificates of institutional accreditation, including University of Social Sciences & Humanities, University of Languages and International Studies and University of Economics and Business. The three universities all met the required education standards under the accreditation standards of the Ministry of Education and Training, which includes important criteria about staff, training programs, research and graduates of the University.

Till October 2016, only six universities of Vietnam received the certificates. Thus, the UEB is one of the first universities across the country was recognized on education quality standards by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Rector of the UEB said: "I am thrilled when the University received the certificate of institutional accreditation following standards of the Ministry of Education and Training. This is an honor, pride and recognition for enduring efforts of all staff and lecturers of the UEB. This achievement also proved the right direction of the UEB in setting education quality assurance as top priority. He also affirmed that the UEB in particular and VNU in general always put the first priority on education quality and develop toward a training institution of high qualified workforce…”

AssocProf.Dr. Nguyen Kim Son - President of VNU said that this is the result of an objective and fair evaluation process. He also suggested that the universities should promote the strengths and improve the weaknesses to constantly increase the quality of training, gradually develop the VNU toward advanced research university.
