On January 5 2023, nearly 350 new PhDs, Masters and Bachelors from the University of Economics and Business – VNU were honored to receive their diplomas at the Graduation Ceremony of the first batch of 2023 which was solemnly held at the Nguyen Van Hao Conference Hall.
On the VNU side, there was the attendance of leaders of departments, representatives of universities and member units under VNU to congratulate.
The ceremony was honoured to welcome partners from the Institute of Charted Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW); Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam BIDV Thanh Xuan Branch and My Dinh Branch; Representative of Liaison Committee of Parents and Students Association, Alumni Association of University of Economics and Business.
On the side of the University of Economics and Business - VNU, there was the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Rector; Vice Rectors: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Dr. Pham Minh Tuan; Representatives of the Trade Union, Youth Union, Student Union, Leaders of faculties, institutes, rooms and centres; teachers, teachers and especially the presence of new PhDs, Masters and Bachelors of the University of Economics and Business - VNU and their families.

The University rector also believed that the new generation of Bachelors, Masters and Doctorates are the ones who will develop future values and who will impart knowledge, spirit and wisdom to the students. “ The university expects that new Bachelors, Masters and Doctorates today will become experts in their fields of pursuit, always maintaining the spirit of UEB – a spirit that is now afraid of difficulties, and suffering, with a disciplined spirit and ready to devote all his efforts to serving the country and others, so that others can serve you” - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Thanh.
At the awarding ceremony, 36 students and 11 postgraduate students received Certificates of Merit and honours from the university during the ceremony for their exceptional accomplishments in their academic work and extracurricular pursuits. It is a sacred and precious moment for the new Bachelors, Masters and Doctorates to step on the podium to receive their prestigious diplomas.

Ms. Dang Thi Mai Trang - Chief Representative of the Institute of Charted Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW Vietnam) said that ICAEW Vietnam is honoured to have many activities to support and accompany UEB students during their studies. Students of the University of Economics and Business - VNU are highly appreciated by professional organizations for their ability and confidence and work skills after graduation. Ms. Trang was especially impressed when in the past year, one student from the UEB - VNU won the title of Chartered Accountant of ICAEW ACA - the world's leading prestigious title in the field of Finance - Accounting, and now this student has been offered a job in Malaysia. That is a testament to the value of the university degree of UEB that students, students, and doctoral students have just been awarded today.
