Lecture of UEB’s lecturer attracted great interest at Oita University (Japan)

From 29th September 2009 to 5th October 2009, delegation of the UEB - VNU led by Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son had a visit and working session at Oita University (Japan).


Under this visit, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son addressed a speech in front of lectures and students of Oita University and Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, lecturer of Faculty of International Economics, University of Economics and Business - VNU delivered a lecture of “Vietnam’s economy under the effect of global recession”. This was the first lecture of a foreign instructor in autumn semester in Faculty of Economics, Oita University. The lecture attracted great attention of both students (about 150 students) and lecturers of the university.
Also within this official visit, leader of the UEB - VNU together with leader and lecturers of Faculty of Economics, including Prof. Esaki - an experienced lecturer who had done consultancy work for many development projects of Japan in Vietnam, discussed about the methods of building a common research project, specific activities of student and lecturer exchanging program. This program will also be implemented through the UEB - VNU is participating in annual student forum as well as the international student exchanging program of Oita University.
The President of Oita University also received and discussed with the delegation of UEB - VNU about some issues related to facilitating bilateral cooperative activities. This visit and working of leaders of the UEB - VNU at Oita University was the first step in the execution of Memorandum of Understanding bilaterally signed in April 2009 and opened the new promising cooperative process of the two universities.
