On 28/3/2010, Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Toshiba Corporation (Japan) organized a scholarship award ceremony for 15 VNU students, 2nd course of academic year 2009 - 2010.
Attending to the ceremony were Dr. Katsuhiko Yamashita - vice president & chief strategy officer of iValue Creation Company, Toshiba Corporation, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Trong Quat - VNU Vice President, representatives and from universities which has awarded students.
Among VNU students who are awarded this term, University of Economics and Business has 2 students, who are Nguyen Hong Van (K17 Master of International Economics and Business) and Nguyen Thu Trang (K17 Master of Business Administration). Each student receives a scholarship of JPY 25.000 (about more than 5 million VND).
At the ceremony, Dr. Katsuhiko Yamashita and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Trong Quat expressed their hope to continue the cooperation and develop the long-lasting relationship between one of the leading Japan’s corporations and Vietnam National University, Hanoi. This also is an opportunity for VNU students to get to know and approach environment of foreign enterprise, which encourages their study and research.
