Gianni Nicolini is Associate Professor in Banking and Finance at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" (Rome, Italy), Faculty of Economics, Department of Economics and Finance (DEF).
He had a PhD in Banking and Finance* and a M.A. in Economics and Finance, both at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" (Rome, Italy). His main research interest concerns Consumer Finance, with a special focus on Financial Literacy and Financial Education. Previous research interests were related to e-finance (valuation of cultural differences between traditional banks and e-finance institutions), leasing evaluation and the integration process in the European exchange industry.
He is:

- Chairman of International Committee of the American Council of Consumer Interest (ACCI), USA.
- Member of the Consumer Credit Research Center (CCRC) at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" (Rome, Italy).
- Member of the Faculty of the PhD program in Banking and Finance at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" (Rome, Italy).
- Reviewer for different journals, included the Journal fo Consumer Affaris (JCA), Journal of Family and Economic Issues (JEEI), Journal of Consumer Policy (JCP) and Journal of Economic Studies (JES).
