On 21st November, 2014, delegation of the VNU University of Economics and Business led by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son had a working session with representatives of the People's Committee of Ha Giang province. Receiving and working with UEB's delegation, there were Mr Dam Van Bong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Giang province together with representatives of offices/departments of relevant units.
Speaking at the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, UEB Rector briefly introduced the university, emphasizing the potentials and strengths of UEB in the field of training, scientific research, policy consultancy and research outcome transfer to the government, localities and enterprises,... Accordingly, the UEB proposed 2 contents for discussion and implementation in the coming period, namely: the People's Committee of Ha Giang province in collaboration with UEB proposed Ministry of Education and Training and Vietnam National University, Hanoi to permit them to open postgraduate programs as well as short-term courses at communes and districts of Ha Giang in order to enhance the leadership and management capacity for officers and managers in the province. At the same time, the People's Committee of Ha Giang province also collaborated with UEB to undertake state-level projects in the framework of Northwest Program; green development Project, application of service-oriented administration model (SOA); Consulting and fulfilling the documents of the Province towards the Party Congress as well as consulting in developing strategies for Ha Giang in the next stages...

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, UEB Rector delivered his speech at the working session with the People's Committee of Ha Giang province.
On behalf of leaders of Ha Giang province, Mr Dam Van Bong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Giang province expressed his pleasure to welcome UEB's delegation to Ha Giang. He emphasized that he highly appreciated the linkage and close cooperation between the People's Committee of Ha Giang province and Vietnam National University, Hanoi during the past years as well as cooperation proposals between UEB and the People's Committee of Ha Giang province. He assigned the relevant agencies to propose specific tasks so that the two sides can further coordinate in the coming time. He also expressed his desire that the UEB in particular and VNU in general would continue to pay much attention to and coordinate closely with Ha Giang province in training activities and promoting human resource capacity.

The working session ended in the open atmosphere and promisingly opened many cooperation opportunities between UEB and Ha Giang province and that would specify cooperation programs between the People's Committee of Ha Giang and Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
