On 25th August 2017, 2 research projects of UEB’s students were awarded by Vietnam National University, Hanoi for excellent research project in the school year 2016 - 2017.
Attending the ceremony, there were Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc - Vice President of VNU and representatives of functional offices together with lecturers and students representing 17 research groups receiving the awards. From the UEB, there was Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector of the University.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc congratulated and praised the efforts of students and their instructors. He hopes that the students continue to nurture passion and ambition for scientific research in the future. He emphasized that, 17 research projects awarded accounting for 1.06% of the total 1,800 research projects nominated for the award at all levels. This is a great honor of the lecturers and students receiving it. He also highlighted the importance of student research. This is the first step to help students achieve further success in the future.
Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc awards certificates for the second prize This year, the UEB has 2 research group awarded by the VNU, including:
- The first prize of the research project "Estimating the value of Xuan Thuy Mangrove Forest in Nam Dinh" by Nguyen Thi Thien and Luong Thi Yen, class QH-2014-E Development Economics.
- The second prize "The impossible three: Policy Management Practices in ASEAN-5 and Vietnam" of Nguyen Thanh Trung, Phan Thanh Thao and Le Van Nam, class QH-2014-E International Economics.
The research activities at VNU in general and UEB in particular not only expanded in large number of research but also develop with many valuable research of high practicality.
