Attending the seminar, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development and representatives of strong research groups, leaders of offices and departments as well as researchers and scholars of the university.

The seminar aims at summarizing the achievement of strong research groups and seeking for research orientation in the coming time.

 

Speaking at the seminar, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu said, the UEB is famous in the field of research. This is the accredited strength of the university. In the innovation trend of VNU’s members, the university continues to promote its strength in academic and practical research. However, connecting the strong research groups of the university is important to promote research activities, which creates the general research orientation for the whole university.

 

After that, the research groups presented their research orientation as well as identify their position in the research community of Vietnam. Currently, the UEB has 4 strong research groups and 1 potential research group, including: Macro economics, international integration, quality and productivity in Vietnamese enterprises, corporate governance in banks and lean management - made in Vietnam.

 

After the presentation of the groups, the seminar continued with research orientation of the university in the coming time and discussion of problems and recommendations.

The seminar received comments from lecturers and researchers such as Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Chi Anh, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le, Dr. Nguyen Cam Nhung, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen An Thinh, Dr. Pham Vu Thang.

 

Ending the seminar, Rector of the UEB emphasized that the research should focus on key research products as well as general research orientation of the university. The groups need to hold annual interdisciplinary symposiums. The university will create better condition for the scientists to teach. At the same time, the strong research groups need to expand the cooperation network and integrating research and training.
