Scientists of University of Economics and Business and others from international universities and scientific research institutes in the group discussing about Vietnam Economy.
The Third International Conference On Vietnamese Studies was organized at My Dinh National Conference Center within 3 days, from 5th to 7th December 2008. This Conference drew the attendance of the ever largest number of scientists in the country and overseas. Hundreds of scientific presentations of 18 large topics were delivered and discussed in an enthusiastic manner.
Among participants in the group discussing about Economic issues of Vietnam, those from University of Economics and Business - VNU had more presentations than others from universities and research institutes in the country (6 out of total 25 presentations were delivered by scientists of UEB). These presentations were made by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phung Xuan Nha, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Huy Duong, Dr. Ha Van Hoi, Dr. Tran Duc Vui and Dr. Nguyen Thi Phi Nga (Other large universities such as National University of Economy and Foreign Trade University had 1 presentation, etc.).
Despite analysis of Vietnam economy from different aspects, all the above presentations viewed the issues of economic development of Vietnam in the integration process. Active engagement of many scientists from University of Economics and Business - VNU in the Third International Conference On Vietnamese Studiesis one of the evidences for the university’s strength in scientific research activities. It also confirms that the university is on the right way to pursue the target of enhanced collaboration between research and training.
