In the thesis, a number of basic theories of modernization and industrialization in agriculture and rural areas was systemized. The successes and constrains of the industrialization and modernization were implemented in Phu Tho provice were pointed out. The thesis clarified the objective factors of the industrialization and modernization in agriculture and rural areas in Vietnam and specifically in Phu Tho. Moreover, it supplemented and made clear some directions and measures mainly to promote the industrialization and modernization in agriculture and rural areas in Phu Tho.
