The UEB receives Certificate of Merit the Communist Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission

On 23th July 2014, at the review conference of the first six months of 2014 at the Communist Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, the UEB Rector Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son received the Certificate of Merit from Head of the Commission for the fruitful cooperation in recent years.

Early 2014, along with other institutes such as the National Economics University, Hanoi, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Industrial Policy and Strategy Institute - Ministry of Industry and Trade, Institute of Finance Strategy and Policy - Ministry of Finance, Development Strategy Institute - Ministry of Planning and Investment, etc, the VNU University of Economics and Business has been assigned by the Communist Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission to jointly made summary report of theoretical and practical issues over the last 30 years of Renewal process (1986-2016). Accomplishing quickly and excellently of the assigned requirements, VNU-UEB is one of 8 agencies to receive the Certificate of Merit from Head of the Central Economic Committee - Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue at the conference.

Attending and chairing the conference was Mr. Le Hong Anh, Member of the Political Bureau, Standing Secretary of Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, leaders of the Central Economic Committee; representatives of the departments, ministries and agencies of the economic field, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Northwest Steering Committee, the Central Highlands Steering Committee, the Hanoi Party Committee, Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the agencies in collaboration with the Central Economic Committee.
Promoting the role of advisory bodies, proposal research, examination, inspection and supervision agency of major strategic issues of socio-economic, over the past six months, the Central Economic Board has both ensured the tasks completion as planned and satisfied the unexpected tasks, just focused on the critical missions, emphasized on four majors and important tasks. Among them, the task given by the Secretariat, the Central Steering Committee is to summarize some theoretical and practical issues over the last 30 years of renewal on two issues "Development of the Socialist-oriented market economy” and "Promotion of industrialization and modernization of the country".

Overview of Conference

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue said that the achievements of the Central Economic Committee in the past year and the first 6 months of 2014 was due to many reasons, but the first cause was the Committee always receiving guidance and special attention of the Party, State, Government leaders, the coordination and sharing of the boards, ministries, local authorities, associations, organizations, experts collaborators, scientists for the Central Economic Committee.
