- Objective of the resource: Through analyzing the rationale and practicality of the development of business development services (BDS) in Vietnam in general and in Hanoi city in particular as well as implementing actual survey of enterprises which provide and/or use BDS in Tu Liem area in order to assess the external and internal factors that affect the development of BDS, the demand of using BDS in short term and long term. After that, the thesis offers solutions to support the development of BDS in Tu Liem area.
- Scope of the research:business development services in Tu Liem area.
The thesis uses both quantitative and qualitative method in order to reach the objective of the resource:
-Qualitative method: the author collects and uses the secondary materials related to the topic including information form books, articles, scientific research…as well as using the expert method in order to understand to status of development of BDS and the factors affecting BDS, the satisfaction of enterprises in Tu Liem area when using BDS.
- Quantitative method: using the actual survey in order to collect the primary data about the external factors affecting the development of BDS and the satisfaction of enterprise using BDS; after that, the author applies some basic statistical method, for example: descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis and linear correlation to determine: (1) external factors affecting the development of BDS, (2) internal factors of enterprises which provide BDS that affects the satisfaction of enterprises using BDS. From that, the author offers some solutions to improve the development of BDS in Tu Liem area.
The study’s results show that the small and medium enterprise in Tu Liem area are lack of awareness of the role and importance BDS to the operation of enterprises meanwhile the small and medium enterprise themselves are not able to provide the services with high quality in order to satisfy to customer. Legal framework and policy documents related to BDS are still limited or the small and medium enterprises cannot access; there are still no associations in order to support the development of BDS. The study also confirms that the internal factors of enterprises which provide BDS including: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy have positive impact to the satisfaction of customer using BDS (the reliability factor has the greatest impact). From the result of the study, a number of proposals and solutions has been proposed to support the development of BDS in Tu Liem area: the solutions to the government in Tu Liem are, the solutions to the BDS providers and the solutions to the small and medium enterprises using BDS.
