Attending the Workshop, there were invited guests: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Quang Tuan - Director of Institute of Regional Sustainable Development - Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen The Chinh - Vice Director of Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment, Dr. Hoang Danh Son - Deputy Director of Department of Planning and Investment of Quang Ninh province and international experts from UNDP, representatives of universities, research institutes and partner companies. From the UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - UEB Rector cum National Project Director of GDPRTE Project along with many lecturers and staffs of the UEB.

Opening the Workshop, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son had a general introduction about the GDPRTE Project, focusing on the research component. He expressed his wish to receive comments on outline proposal from policy makers, business practitioners and researchers for the successful implementation of these researches in the next stage.
The discussion of the Workshop was co-chaired by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - National Project Deputy Director of GDPRTE Project and Mr. Andrew Spezowka, Senior Technical Advisor of UNDP Vietnam.
At the Workshop, four research teams in turn presented the outline of each topic that they had developed from December, 2014 to February 2015, including: (1) “Green Government Procurement: International experiences and recommendations for promoting the realization in Vietnam”; (2) “Green Consumption in Vietnam: Determinants, Examinations and Policy Roadmap”; (3) “Green banking - International experiences and implications for Vietnam”; (4) “Recommendations to improve green logistics in Vietnam”. These topics attracted the attention of many domestic and international experts. The comments focused primarily on research objectives, research questions, literature review, especially the research methods and feasibility of the proposals.

All of the comments were collected as the basis for editing and finalizing the project outlines before they were approved and implemented.
Four major studies of GDPRTE Project include:
(2) Green consumption and environmentally friendly lifestyle (Green consumption);
(3) Government's green procurement;
(4) Green logistics (forwarding services).
