UEB's student research contest 2018

On May 19th, 2018, the student research contest of VNU University of Economics and Business was held at the Hall 801.
The contest was chaired by the UEB’s Vice Rector - Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu and attracted participation of lecturers and students of the University.
Speaking at the conference, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu said, student research activity lies among the top priorities of the UEB. Scientific research helps students clarify specific issues, thereby, bring the theory to real life. Therefore, the UEB annually organizes the student research contest, which attracts participation of many students. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu believes that the activity will benefit the students drastically.

The student research competing at the contest focus on various issues such as "Impact of exchange rate on the trade balance of Vietnam - Japan: J curve effect test", "Factors influencing the online shopping behavior of university students in Hanoi", "Factors influencing student loan consumption intentions", "Influence of Fintech in Financial Literacy: The Case of Asian Nations ".
The research was highly valued for innovation. Many research address critical issues with diverse research methods. The judges appreciate students' efforts in collecting data as well as applying theory model in the research. Majority of the research are clearly written and reasoned with many practical examples.
At the end of the contest, two research on “Effects of globalization to life quality in developing countries” carried by students Le Thi Ly, Truong Thi My Linh, Ha Tien class QH-2015-E Development Economics and “Effects of Fintech in Financial Literacy: The case of Asian nations” carried by Hoang Thi Ngoc Anh class Qh-2014-E Finance and Banking won the first prize.
