GPAC was started in 1991 by Professor Sang-Ki Min from Seoul National University and Professor Haruo Shimada, who is currently the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Tokyo Metropolitan University in Japan. This event has been held annually in Asian countries: Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Israel and Vietnam.
This year, GPAC will be held in Vietnam with the participation of more than 180 students and lecturers from 7 prestigious universities, including: Chiba University of Commerce (Japan), Meio University (Japan), Tokyo Metropolitan University (Japan), Seoul National University (Korea), Chengchi National University (Taiwan), The College of Management Academic Studies (Israel) and Vietnam National University - University of Economics and Business.
In 2019, the academic seminar consists of these branches: Finance; accounting and international currency; international economic integration; management and international business and other related issues that commit to bring useful knowledge for every students about Industrial Revolution 4.0. These topics will be presented by students through presentations of their researches and criticized by the council of judges.
Besides the academic exchanges, the students also have opportunity to experience Vietnamese culture by visiting Temple of Literature, Hanoi Old Quarter, Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex (Ninh Binh) and enjoying some Vietnamese specialities. This is also a chance for Vietnam National University - University of Economics and Business students to introduce and promote Vietnam’s beauty to a large number of foreign friends.
