The discussions focused on key issues of digital era, in which professors and students from 7 universities discussed and shared their opinions about current situation of some digital economies in Asia as well as proposed economic strategy and policies.
GPAC brought about the valuable opportunities for academic, cultural and social exchange for the students, who expecting to have memorable time in Vietnam.
The five topics for discussion at GPAC include international finance; accounting and international currencies; international economic integration and multidisciplinary issues; and other relevant issues. At each session, the groups had 15 minutes to present and 10 minutes for Q&A. After that, the professors will make questions and comments on the presentation.
At the end of the session, one presentation from one branch topic will be chosen to present at the plenary session in the afternoon. On 28th August, 6 best papers were chosen to discuss thereafter with 2 presentations from the first session of International Banking and Accounting.
On the next day, the discussion with mixed students from different universities focused on topics such as blockchain, IoT, Machine learning, mobile banking. Similar to the discussion on the previous day, the best paper will be chosen for presentation in the afternoon.
Together with academic exchange, the students had chances to visit the most attractions in the North of Vietnam such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Temple of Literature, the Old Quarter of Hanoi and Trang An – the ancient capital of Vietnam in Ninh Binh Province.
In the afternoon of 29th August, GPAC 2019 was officially ended. Giving the closing remarks at the event, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu expressed her gratitude to professors, staff and students for attending GPAC 2019 as well as the volunteers and member of organizing committee for their hard work to make the event a great success.
