CIMA Global Business Challenge (CIMA GBC) is an annual international competition organized by CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), one of the world's leading and largest professional body of management accountants. This is a big chance for global students to show their capacity in business management and learn how to become corporate leaders in the future. Going through selection rounds and finally becoming the only representative of UEB to participate in the international competition, team NH3 including Ms. Dao Anh Thu - QH2018 Accounting CLC1, Ms. Hoang Thi Hong Nhung - QH 2019 Accounting CLC3; Ms. Bui Thu Ngọc - QH 2019E Accounting CLC1 and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong QH2018E Accounting CLC2 overcame competitors to be in the top 5 - National Final Round against a team of Foreign Trade University of Hochiminh and three teams from Thailand.

Little girls make "big things"

Sharing the nearly two-month competition, the members of NH3 team faced difficulties and challenges from the first days until late meetings to find out ideas, to read a hundred of documents without knowing how to deal with the situation, how to present ideas impressively, interestingly, and effectively because no one has experience.

Sometimes, they felt very bleak, sad, and disappointed. Fortunately, these girls received help and encouragement from Mr. Nam Trung, Mrs. Phuong Chi and Mrs. Phuong Anh - passionate mentors who always stand by their side to solve problems and overcome difficulties to move forward.

 "From the first days, when everything was strange and new, the mentors corrected mistakes and made our exam more perfect. Gradually, we became more mature and confident to complete the competition. Frankly speaking, we, sometimes, felt very disappointed and sad but our teachers spent much time talking and raising us. All of these things are such a great motivation for us to be more confident and show the spirit of "UEBers." We would like to thank the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing that gave us chances to participate in the CIMA GBC competition", Hong Nhung, a member of NH2 expressed

During the contest, the members always supported each other to complete the exam best so that UEB is honored in the international arena.

 "Acting as a team leader, I always try to assign tasks that suit to strengths of each member and ensure that all members have chances to work together so, after nearly two months, we became close and best friends" - Anh Thu happily shared about the special period in the competition which helps her gain more knowledge and has excellent friends.

CIMA Global Business Challenge is an international completion with high requirements because students both apply flexibly their knowledge at a higher level and work as consultants. Although these girls are very gentle and graceful, they always show the spirit of fighters without any fear of being challenged. " For GBC 2021, they went through a no-easy period to change non-experienced students of professional business into professional specialists. The second prize of the team NH3 is very worthy of their non-stop efforts during the last two months." After all, they become a champion in the heart of mentors," emotional sharing of mentors guiding the team NH3 in the competition.

 "Each journey spreads on the rose, feet will feel hurt due to thorns, the journey to victory will face many difficulties and challenges," without pressure, diamond, and difficulty and challenge, there wouldn't be a NH3 like that!

The achievement of the final runner-up at the National Finals of CIMA GBC competition is a worthy award for the efforts of the team itself, mentors and teachers of the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing as well.

To gain achievements in big competitions, students of the VNU University of Economics and Business feel very proud to study in an environment with international standard training programs, updated and practical applications, thinking, and creativity which will help UEBers more confident and take action without hesitation or fear when participating any intellectual playground.

 "At UEB, we are very lucky to access specialized subjects such as principles of accounting, corporate financial accounting, corporate governance accounting. Besides the training programs, the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing often hold seminars to exchange knowledge, skills of presentation and courses which we can learn from the specialists and practical experience. These help us improve knowledge and skills so we feel very confident when participating in the competition" - Thu Ngọc expressed.

The international competitions are getting to attract the attention of students of the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing. It is confirmed that many candidates increasingly participate in each competition. This is a positive signal for the internationalization trend of the Faculty to bring students to international competitions. The intellectual playground will help students experience in a standard environment, high interaction and expand career opportunities in future before groups or multinational companies" - Mentors of the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing shared about goals of orienting students to participate in the international competition.

Not only being a knowledge and skills-equipped place, but UEB is also a school for teacher-student love. "For us, the teachers are like "great fathers and mothers" who always help, stand by side and guide us to conquer new knowledge.
