VNU-UEB to extend the cooperation with Minnesota Duluth from the US

On November 9, 2022, the VNU University of Economics and Business signed the memorandum of cooperation with the University of Minnesota Duluth, USA (UMD) which stated many terms and conditions bringing valuable opportunities for UEB’s lecturers and students.
Attending the signing ceremony, from the VNU-UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi - Director of the Institute of Education Skills and Creative Intelligence; Dr. Nguyen Duc Lam - Head of Research and Partnership Development. From the University of Minnesota Duluth, there was Dr. Amy Hietapelto - Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs; Dr. Karl Markgraf - Director of International Programs, Dr. Neil Wilmot - Dean of the Faculty of Economics.
Previously, the VNU-UEB and the University of Minnesota Duluth signed a cooperation agreement in 2019 and deployed a number of mutual activities, including the International conference on economic cooperation and integration (CIECI 2019).
At the signing ceremony, the representatives from University of Minnesota Duluth highly appreciated the achievements that the UEB has achieved in the past time and wish that the agreement will bring mutual benefits for both sides.

Talking at the signing ceremony, representatives of the two universities agreed on opening the joint training programs at the bachelor's level, expanding opportunities for UEBers to study in UMD. Accordingly, students of the UEB will be transferred to UMD and get a UMD Bachelor's degree after completing 2 years of study in Vietnam.
In addition, students of the UEB will be able to participate in short courses and exchange program at the University of Minnesota Duluth. The representative of the two universities also agreed on short courses for students of both universities in the summer of 2023.
