The “study tour” at Phuong Linh Trading and Electromechanical Production Co., Ltd. Of UEB-SBA had the participation of more than 50 students of the Business Administration class for Sports Talents (Class QH2021, QH2022) and graduate class (Session QH2021). Here, students and trainees have the opportunity to meet and interact with CEO Tran Van Le, known as the “King of Northern Fans,” and learn about the management and operation model of the company. This helps them develop their ability to think creatively and flexibly by “projecting” the knowledge they have learned in the classroom into the real business world.
Gaining real experience from thought to action
The representative of the firm introduced the operation process in detail, from the general direction of the company, then built a specific plan for each product, and organised to follow the following steps: Product idea – Design – Manufacture – Test – Bring to market – Evaluate results.
Students and trainees showed interest in learning the key to assisting startups like CEO Tran Van Le “go in the right direction” while launching a firm and what tools to have on hand during that process.
Mr. Le didn’t hold back while answering questions from young people, sharing his start-up tale and its many valuable lessons in the industry. He said that starting a business requires great enthusiasm, a commitment to excellence and a willingness to take calculated risks. It is crucial that the company concept truly has its own “quality,” and must satisfy customers’ needs or things that society desperately wants but for which there is little supply. In order to reach goals, it is necessary to thoroughly plan them out.

Not only exchange experiences in the industry, but UEBers also had an opportunity to visit Phuong Linh industrial fan factory. Here, Director Le introduced high-tech machinery and equipment used to produce the goods. Since a theory that is not put into practice is mere “a mere theory” and information that cannot be put into practice is “dead knowledge”, it can be claimed that practical experience is an important activity in the learning and research process. The adage “learning goes hand in hand” is more crucial than ever in dynamic industries like economics, which demand the capacity to improvise apply flexibility, and adapt to current trends.
The University of Economics and Business will keep promoting learning activities linked to real-world applications in the future, assisting students in expanding their knowledge and experience as well as their horizons and social networks, and fostering an environment that is conducive to the creation, nurturing and development of talents in the areas of contemporary economics, management and business administration.
