Fulbright specialist works at UEB

Within the cooperation and support program of Fulbright specialists at Vietnam’s education institutes, PhD. Alicia Skinner Cook - Specialist of Fulbright Scholarship program (The US) has visited and had a working session with UEB leader on 15th June 2011.


Attending to the meeting were PhD. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh - Vice Rector of University of Economics and Business and leaders, staffs of faculties, offices and centers of the university - the units are planned to work with the specialist in the coming period.

On behalf of UEB leaders, the Vice Rector has introduced to PhD. Alicia Skinner Cook about the university with its organizational structure and major activities. At the meeting, representative of university’s units also introduced in details about functions and activities of their offices, as well as discuss with the specialist about the coming working schedule.

As for the side of Fulbright supporting program, PhD. Alicia Skinner Cook expressed her pleasure to work at UEB and assist its general academic and research activities.

The Fulbright specialist program is to send scholars to support the conduct of assessments, surveys, institutional or programmatic research; take part in specialized academic programs and conferences in conjunction with other scheduled activities; consult with administrators and instructors of postsecondary institutions on faculty development; present lectures at graduate and undergraduate levels; participate in or lead seminars or workshops at overseas academic institutions; develop and/or assess academic curricula or educational materials; conduct teacher-training programs at the tertiary level.

The specialist’s working schedule involves all faculties of UEB, Center for International Training and Education, Center for Higher Education Quality Assurance and Office of Research and Partnership Development and is expected to end after 6 weeks.
