The course was designed by Prof. Hanada, Keio University, a leading specialist on human resource management in Japan. The major objective of the course is to provide learners with the new concept of human resources assessment. In addition to the traditional concept of human resource management (HRM) and human resource development (HRD), the course also focused on promoting Human Capacity Development (HCD) in the increasing globalization and internationalization context today.

In addition to the participation in classes taught by professors from Japan’s universities, governmental agencies, or corporations, the learners also visited and studied at: Business Research Institute, Japan Management Association, Nissan Learning Center, Education Institute. At these sites, they have learned about the concepts and practical initiatives in the development of high quality human resources in Japan.
Completing the course, each learner received a certificate by JICA in the expectation that the knowledge they gained will be shared and creatively applied in their own countries.
